Caitlin Grater is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Health Coach in New York City. She graduated from the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences and from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, both nationally recognized and based in New York.
Caitlin strongly believes in the power of food as medicine, and the body’s ability to heal itself with a combination of positive mental patterns, personal relationships, individualized nutrition, and of course – exercise.
It is a goal of her company, Grater Health (www.graterhealth.com), to educate the masses so that they are able to make more informed decisions about what they choose to purchase and consume to best benefit the health of themselves, their families, and also the health of the local and global environment.
She aims to educate clients about connections between diet, life style, and overall health and wellness. By learning to correlate signs and symptoms such as moods, sleep patterns, cravings, hormonal imbalances, or digestive distress, (to name a few) to specific dietary or life stresses, we can begin to fine-tune our own patterns to lead us in the direction of health for long term success. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and most of us won’t be pictures of perfect health tomorrow, but every baby step you take builds a foundation for health and happiness in your future!
Ask questions. Seek Answers. Don’t judge them until you try them.
Caitlin practices both Western and Eastern body work. Having worked with many dancers, she is familiar with specific muscular imbalances and treatment and is proficient in myofascial release techniques.
